I am a custom leathersmith and I love doing one-of-a-kind projects. If you are looking for a unique piece, feel free to contact me for a quote.
I am fiercely inclusive and judgement-free in my personal and business affairs. This means I will not do custom work that incorporates racist, sexist, and/or anti-LGBTQ themes. If you’re in doubt whether your design idea is in conflict with this policy, please contact me and I’ll provide you feedback.
I respect your identity and your privacy. I will only use your personal information for the purpose of completing and shipping your order.
I specialize in doing custom leather work. Whether you’re looking for a simple adjustment to a standard design or looking for a unique one-of-a-kind piece, Keeton Custom Leather is your go-to source for heirloom quality leather goods.
Most items can be personalized with a name or initials, and I can also do hand-tooled designs.
Product availability is not limited to the options posted in my shop. If you have an idea for a leather and/or canvas item, chances are that I can make it happen.
I can also do repair work on many types of leather goods.
When you think about handcrafted leather goods, think about Keeton Custom Leather. And remember: “The K Can Do It!”
Proper care for your leather goods will maximize the useful life of your items. Periodically condition your leather goods with a product that is designed for leather. Shep’s brand neatsfoot oil, Lexol, and my own “Dr. Rob’s Leather Balm” are my favorites.
If you get your leather item wet, be sure to allow it to dry naturally. Avoid using artificial heat sources because they can unnecessarily dry out the leather. Never ever try to dry your leather items in a microwave. You’ll cook it. Don’t ask how I know this. Just trust me. Once your item has dried, apply some oil or conditioner to replenish the oils in the leather.
Use just enough to moisturize the leather, not saturate it. Think about it like you would applying lotion to your skin.
I package most of items in a brown paper wrapping that hides the contents. I choose to use paper because it’s more eco-friendly than plastic and it doesn’t trap moisture, which could be left in the leather from the crafting process.
I do not currently provide unique gift wrapping as a standard option, but it may be an option I can add if the interest is there. Feel free to contact me with your requests.
I have the ability to small scale production work and would be happy to discuss opportunities for resale and/or corporate gifts. Please contact me with the details.
